Pennell Creek is a controlled shooting area located near Troy, Kansas. We offer pheasant, and chukar hunts for groups of up to 6. Pennell Creek is native grass and standing corn in the middle of 320 acres of crop ground. We have 2 separate loops to hunt 2 groups at the same time, both ending your hunt where you started. We think our CSA is a great place to start a new dog, or to take kids on their first upland game hunt. If you do not have a dog to hunt with, a guide can be arranged. A controlled shooting permit, or Kansas hunting license is required. A hunter safety certificate is not required for those purchasing a controlled shooting permit. Our season runs from October 1 through March 31. Hunts are by appointment only.

$100 Per Gun
4 rooster pheasant released the day of your hunt. No limits on the amount of pheasant you can purchase to hunt.
$21 per extra pheasant.
Kids $50 Hunt
It's more important than ever to get kids hunting. $50 gets 2 rooster pheasant released on the day of your hunt. Must hunt with a paying adult guardian or parent. Age 18 and under. Hunter safety course is not required on controlled shooting areas, but is encouraged.
